Site with a variety of useful information for women who are victims of domestic abuse.  Includes a domestic abuse directory covering the whole of the UK and a survivor's handbook as well as a domestic violence section for children and young people.

The site is part of the Modern Discussion website, and it campaigns for women’s democracy in the Middle East. Many writers and activists contribute to the site.

Dr. Nawal El Saadawi is a novelist, a psychiatrist, and a writer who is well known both in the Arab countries and in many other parts of the world. Her novels and her books on the situation of women have had a deep effect on successive generations of young women over the last 4 decades.
