Combating “Honour” Based Violence Forum

- Are you concerned about the threat of “Honour” based violence on women and young girls in your communities?
IF YES? THEN JOIN US
Who are we?
An independent Forum established to bring together women's organisations and other relevant agencies to work together in combating all forms of “Honour” based violence in the UK,
Our major functions:
- To become a strong campaigning voice against violence and crimes committed under the name of so called "Honour" and to represent those who are at risk of such violence.
- To enhance the awareness of "Honour" based violence amongst key players such as the police, social services, housing, health authorities and the politicians.
Why join? Collectively we can:
- Actively influence policies affecting domestic and 'honour' based violence.
- Have the opportunity to network, share and exchange information and resources.
- Develop best practices in providing services to women under the risk of “honour” based violence.
- Participate in establishing an early, sensitive and appropriate intervention plan or guide to save lives of women at risk.
- Work together in raising awareness amongst younger generations (boys and girls) against “honour” based crimes.
- Give a stronger voice to women at risk for 'honour' based violence
